In 2017, Hans Georg Näder sold a 20% stake in ottobock SE to the Swedish equity investment company EQT. After EQT initiated the sale of the stake in June 2023, Näder bought back the shares in March 2024. For the buyback, he borrowed 1.1 billion euros from credit funds and quickly sold the subsidiary Sycor.
