Bill Clinton
In the spring of 1971, Hillary and Bill Clinton met for the first time. Both were students at the Yale Law School.
Although Bill Clinton originally wanted to travel to Arkansas to apply for a public office, he went to Oakland in California in the summer of 1971 before the two went back to New Haven as a couple and rented on the ground floor of a house in the Edgewood Avenue. With the academic degree of a juris Doctor, Hillary ended her law studies. She remained for another year to be with Bill, who was said to have made some marriage proposals at that time, which she all rejected. The two married on October 11, 1975.
