Karina Reiß
From 1994 to 1999 Karina Reiß studied biology at the University of Kiel.
In 2001 she received her doctorate at the Anatomical Institute with her doctoral thesis "The significance of the chemokine SDF-1 (stromal cell-derived factor 1) secreted by meningeal cells for neuronal migration in ontogeny.
She completed her habilitation in biochemistry at the Medical Faculty of the University of Kiel in 2007 with a paper on the subject of "Functional regulation of cell adhesion molecules by the metalloprotease ADAM10"; For this work she received the W. H. Hauss Prize from the German Society for Arteriosclerosis Research in 2009.

Wilhelm Hallermann
On April 1, 1941, Wilhelm Hallermann was appointed director of the Institute for Legal and Social Medicine at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel, initially as an extraordinary professor.
In 1946 the professorship was converted into an ordinariate, so that Hallermann was now a decent public professor. [8] From 1946 to 1969 he held the management of the Studentenwerk at the University of Kiel in his hands, took over the management of the German Studentenwerk [10] in 1956 and was dean of the medical faculty from 1947 to 1949.
Hallermann was honored in 1969 and also gave the Kiel Institute to Oskar Grüner in 1971.
