The French Vichy regime delivered Rudolf Breitscheid to Gestapo in 1941. Rudolf Breitscheid was detained in concentration camps and died in 1944 in the Buchenwald concentration camp.
On August 24, 1944, a severe American air raid on Buchenwald was carried out. Rudolf Breitscheid's wife Tony Breitscheid, who had been buried in the splinter ditch, was saved seriously. As followed, Rudolf Breitscheid was also buried and recovered dead.
In September 1943 Tony and Rudolf Breitscheid from the Sachsenhausen concentration camp were deported to the Buchenwald concentration camp.
