Oliver Bellenhaus

Bellenhaus did an apprenticeship at the local Raiffeisenbank and then switched to DZ Bank in Munich. In 2002 he started at Wirecard. Four years later, he became general representative of the in -house Wirecard Bank at the age of 33.

In 2013 Oliver Bellenhaus went to Dubai to head the business of the Wirecard subsidiary Cardystems Middle East. He worked closely with Jan Marsalek and operated part of the so -called "third party business" from there. At times, the company should have contributed more than a third of all sales and more than half of the profit in the group.

In Dubai, Bellenhaus moved into a spacious apartment on the 93rd floor of the Burj Khalifa, the highest building in the world.

Wirecard reported bankruptcy on June 18, 2020. A little later, on July 6, 2020, Bellenhaus volunteered the public prosecutor in Germany, after which he was in custody.

At the advice of his defenders, Bellenhaus was confessed and is considered an essential crown witness of the indictment in the balance sheet scandal around Wirecard, knowing that he could expect punishment himself.

Bellenhaus claims that in Dubai, especially since 2015, he has had systematic shams and has only faked a flourishing business. The scope of criminal activities increased year after year. Examiners were deceived and documents were fake. According to his statements, this was done at the urging of the board in Aschheim.

In the course of the court proceedings, the arrest warrant was set out against requirements as of February 6, 2024.
