- involved in organizing -
Walter Schultze
As a state commissioner in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, Schultze was involved in the organization of action T4, the murder of around 70,000 mentally ill and disabled people. According to Schultze's own information, he and the Gauleiter of Upper Bavaria, Adolf Wagner, were informed about the campaign by Philipp Buhler at the end of 1939 or early 1940. Schultze was also close friends with Viktor Brack, Buhler's deputy and one of the main organizers of the campaign. Departments - as led by Schultze in the Ministry of the Interior - had the role of a "regional central office T4"; Those responsible were involved in the sick murders; Schultze is assigned to the circle of "unrestricted supporters of the murder campaign".
