Steve Jobs
In the early 1980s, when Moritz was reporter for Time, Steve Jobs commissioned him to document the development of the Mac for a book that he wrote about Apple. According to Andy Hertzfeld, Jobs said in response to the fact that the history of another computer company had been published a year earlier: "Mike will be our historian." Since he was the same age as many others in the development team, he seemed to be a good choice.
Moritz wrote the first story about Apple Inc. entitled "The Little Kingdom: The Private Story of Apple Computer".
