Die Welt - belongs to - Axel Springer SE
The world was a foundation of the British military government and was published for the first time on April 2, 1946 at the price of 20 pfennigs. The concept of the newspaper was to separate facts sharply from comments, in the editorials there were opposing points of view. Under the editor-in-chief, the SPD member and former inmates of the Bergen-Belsen Rudolf Küstermeier concentration camp since spring 1946, the sheet collided several times with the British occupation authorities who wanted to use the world as a PR organ.

In 1952 "Die Welt" was sold to Axel Springer for two million DM.

Die Welt - cooperation - Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft
Shortly after its foundation, the INSM had managed to involve a large number of media in joint projects (surveys, rankings, publications, events). Due to the public criticism of this collaboration, these projects have largely been stopped. An exception is the daily newspaper "Die Welt", which organized in partnership with the INSM 2021 election debates. "Die Welt" and the INSM also cooperate with the World Zukunfsdebatt event series. INSM Managing Director Thorsten Alsleben is constantly present at "Welt TV" as a guest commentator or interview partner.
