Joachim Gerchow
Gerchow was appointed to the chair for judicial and social medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main in 1962 and retired there in 1989.
During his tenure at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Frankfurt am Main, Joachim Gerchow was also responsible for safeguarding Fritz Bauer's autopsy records and tissue samples.

After the sudden death of Rolf Hey at the age of 48, Wilhelm Hallermann temporarily took over the management (of the Institute for Forensic Medicine), until the summer semester Ferdinand Wiethold (born 24.12.1893 in Bocholt, died April 17, 1961 in Frankfurt), which had survived the war with some damage in 1961.
