KZ-Außenlager München (Agfa Kamerawerke)
This connection documents the close interaction between SS terror and the private arms industry (Division III of I.G. Farben). The SS provided the Agfa factory in Munich-Giesing with around 500 female concentration camp prisoners - mostly Polish, Russian and French from the Dachau main camp - as slave laborers [wollheim-memorial.de]. The women had to work in shifts under brutal conditions to assemble time fuses for armaments production and camera parts for the Wehrmacht. Women who were sick or unable to work were transported back to the main camp at Dachau, which often meant their death.

The Munich-Giesing subcamp (Agfa Kamerawerk) was a subcamp built in September 1944 that was directly subordinate to the Dachau concentration camp in organizational and logistical terms.

KZ Dachau
- first permanent concentration camp -
NS-Staat
Dachau served the Nazi regime as a blueprint and training center for the entire later concentration camp system. The commandant there, Theodor Eicke, developed the “Dachau School” – a brutal regimen of absolute obedience, terror and systematic dehumanization of the prisoners, which was transferred to all other camps (such as Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Sachsenhausen). It was also the central instrument of the Nazi state for political conformity and the elimination of opponents of the regime, Jews, Sinti and Roma, and clergy.
Deutsches Historisches Museum (DHM) – Das Konzentrationslager Dachau
The Dachau concentration camp, established in March 1933, was the Nazi state\'s first permanent concentration camp. It reported directly to the Reichsführer SS (Heinrich Himmler) and the Inspection of the Concentration Camps (IKL).

Hilmar Wäckerle
On March 17, 1933, Wäckerle was transferred to the "SS-Brigade Süd" from the then SS top section "Süd", Friedrich Jeckeln, and used it as a leader of the SS-Sturmbann "D" and the first commander of the newly built concentration camp Dachau. There he “lived his violent being ... fully, always with the Ochsenziemer at hand and a huge Rottweiler on the side”. Under his leadership, the SS heralded "its rule over Dachau with a violent explosion", in a frenzy of blood, prisoners were beaten up, tortured and murdered. After investigating the Munich public prosecutor because of the murder of four Jewish prisoners, he was removed in June 1933 of his post and replaced by Theodor Eicke.

Ernst Günther Schenck
In the daily newspaper, the author Stefan Reinecke referred to "statements by prisoners in Dachau", who announced that on a plantation (with 200,000 medicinal plants) under the leadership of Schenck's "1938 more than a hundred of exhaustion and forced labor". Other prisoners died in a “nutritional or hunger experiment” in the Mauthausen concentration camp.
At the so-called plantation in the Dachau concentration camp, a large-scale construction area for over 200,000 medicinal plants was in charge of the so-called plantation, with which vitamin powder for the weapons-SS was produced.

Menschenversuche in nationalsozialistischen Konzentrationslagern
Under the leadership of doctors such as Sigmund Rascher and Claus Schilling, prisoners were abused for life-threatening experiments. Among the most notorious were the negative pressure and hypothermia experiments (to simulate the survival of downed pilots in the sea) and large-scale malaria experiments. Hundreds of defenseless victims were artificially infected with malaria to test experimental drugs. A large proportion of the prisoners died in extreme agony or suffered permanent damage during the experiments.

From 1942 onwards, the Dachau concentration camp was the site of extensive and systematic medical experiments on humans. These were often coordinated by the Luftwaffe and the SS\'s own research institutions (such as the “Ahnenerbe” research community).
