VIAG

In 1989 Klöckner & Co passed through Viag. Under a new leadership, Klöckner & Co worked in areas such as steel, PC products, chemistry, textiles and mobile buildings in the 1990s and expanded its international presence in the area of steel.

In spring 1997, Klöckner & Co announced the decision to concentrate on his core business, steel and metal trade in the future. While it further expanded the warehousing steel trade in Europe, the group's core business were no longer sold.

In 2000, Viag was merged with the similarly structured VEBA group.

Viag and Veba merge on September 27, 2000 to E.ON AG.

In the 1920s, Vereinigte Industrieunternehmen AG (VIAG) held a 25% stake in the Ilseder Hütte stock corporation.
